EGYPT
GOEIC Registration and CoI
All manufacturers and exporters exporting to the Arab Republic of Egypt are required to register with the GOEIC (General Organization for Export and Import Control) system, based on their company and brand. Without this registration, products cannot be legally imported into Egypt.
After registration, each shipment is inspected for compliance with Egyptian Standards, and a Certificate of Inspection (CoI) is issued. This document is a mandatory loading-based document and must be presented at Egyptian customs for importation.
This two-step system aims to control imported products for quality, safety, and traceability. With Certplus expertise, both stages can be completed quickly and completely.

GOEIC Company and Factory Registration Process
To export to Egypt, your company and products must be registered with the GOEIC system. This registration is made only once and is valid for a long time after being updated.
The registration process includes the following:
Manufacturer or company registration
Registration of your own brand or brands for which you have official rights
Introduction of the relevant product list into the system
Main documents required:
ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate
Brand Registration Certificate or License
Product List
Trade Registry/Activity Certificate
Industrial Registry Certificate (if applicable)
Products from companies without GOEIC registration cannot be shipped to Egypt and cannot apply for a COI.
CoI – Certificate of Inspection Process Based on Shipment
After completing your GOEIC registration, a COI (Certificate of Inspection) must be obtained for each export shipment. This document is mandatory for the smooth processing of products through Egyptian customs.
The process works as follows:
A pre-shipment application is submitted.
The product's technical file and labels are evaluated.
Accredited test reports issued in accordance with Egyptian Organization for Standardization (EOS) standards are requested.
Physical inspection (if necessary) and document verification are conducted.
If compliance is achieved, a COI certificate is issued.
The COI certificate is valid only for that shipment and must be renewed for each shipment.
Certplus offers fast, accurate, and formal services for both the GOEIC registration process and the issuance of the necessary COI documents for each shipment.
