REACH ve RoHS Analysis

01.

RoHS Analysis for Electrical and Electronic Products

First, let’s try to understand what RoHS is and why it is considered important. RoHS originally stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. It is also known as Directive 2002/95/EC. It originated directly from the European Union and was framed solely to restrict the application of certain hazardous and dangerous substances found in most electrical and electronic products. RoHS Compliance Testing is now considered one of the most important standard procedures for mostly large or emerging manufacturers, retailers, distributors and also recyclers of electrical and electronic components.

REACH Analysis for classification of chemicals

REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) is a regulation adopted by the European Union to improve the protection of both human health and the environment from risks posed by chemicals. It establishes procedures for collecting and evaluating information on the properties and hazards of substances. Companies are required to register their own substances and to do this they must work with other companies that have registered the same substance. The European Chemicals Agency, ECHA, receives and evaluates all individual registrations. The Agency's scientific committees assess whether the risks of a substance can be managed.
